If ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)’ tops Hot 100, Perry’s Teenage Dream will tie MJ’s mark of five #1s from a single album.

Katy Perry’s unstoppable Teenage Dream album continues to churn out hits … and now, it might just make history too.

If Dream‘s fifth single, the just-released “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”, continues its climb to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 (it currently sits at #4, jumping 27 spots from last week), Perry will not only become the first female artist to ever have five #1 songs off one album, she’ll be the first artist of any gender to accomplish the feat since Michael Jackson had five chart-topping singles off his Bad album in 1987 and 1988.

Perry’s previous #1s from the Dream album are, of course, “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework” and “E.T.” Jackson’s five #1s from the Bad album are “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You,” “Bad,” “The Way You Make Me Feel,” “Man in the Mirror” and “Dirty Diana.”

Perry has already shattered the Hot 100 record for most consecutive weeks with a single inside the Top 10 (48, a number previously held by Swedish popmeisters Ace of Base), then kept that momentum going by spending an entire year in the chart’s upper echelon. More incredibly, that streak is still active, as two of Perry’s singles — “T.G.I.F.” and “E.T.” — sit at numbers 4 and 5, respectively.

What’s more, “T.G.I.F” currently sits atop the Billboard Digital Songs chart, and may soon be her sixth single to pass the 4 million mark in digital sales, joining “E.T.,” “California Gurls,” “Firework,” and from her One of the Boys album, “Hot N Cold” and “I Kissed a Girl.” No other artist has even had four songs pass the 4 million download mark … Perry’s closest competitors in that regard are Lady Gaga and Rihanna, both of whom have had three 4 million-sellers.

As Charlie Sheen‘s replacement on Two and a Half Men, Ashton Kutcher has some pretty big shoes to fill. (After all, the CBS sitcom was TV’s No. 1 comedy with the Sheenius starring.) Perhaps that’s why, in the first promotional ads for the new and hopefully improved Men, 33-year-old Kutcher isn’t wearing shoes — or any other form of clothing, for that matter.

As you can see in the above image from the season 9 ad campaign, Kutcher and the show’s other two stars, Angus T. Jones and Jon Cryer, appear seemingly naked, holding naught but a sign up to cover their Men parts. The sign reads, "All will be revealed… 09.19.11" — and, sorry ladies, we’re almost 100 percent sure it refers to the fact that the show’s Sept. 19 season premiere will explain what happens to Charlie Harper (does he drive his car off a cliff, perhaps?) and how Kutcher’s character will come into the mix.

According to Entertainment Weekly, CBS and distributor Warner Bros. may repurpose the same image throughout the campaign, altering the sign’s text to deliver different messages. With the way Cryer is looking at Kutcher, may we suggest: "The new Two and a Half Men: Things are looking up"?

Gaga’s page reportedly suspended due to copyright complaint over a Japanese TV show clip.

Lady Gaga has long been the Queen of YouTube. Her videos have racked up more than a billion views on the site and fans have flocked to it in droves to post their home-brewed takes on her outfits, fashion, music and videos.

But little monsters who were looking for their daily fix of Gaga on Thursday (July 14) were likely disappointed when they went to Mother Monster’s YouTube account and found the following message, “This account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s Copyright Policy.”

What gives?

According to Time Out Tokyo, Gaga’s official YouTube account was suspended because she posted footage from her recent appearance on the Japanese show “SMAP x SMAP,” on the Fuji TV network. The widely-circulated video of the 10-minute performance in which Gaga sang a medley of songs from Born This Way resulted in a takedown request from Media Interactive Inc. on Tuesday.

The video features Gaga performing on a fog-enshrouded set with the popular Japanese boy band SMAP, and the issue appears to involve Gaga’s failure to secure the digital rights to display their performance on her YouTube account. In the clip, Gaga emerges from an ornate box wearing a an elaborate black dust mask and sings “The Edge of Glory” before sitting down at a piano housed in a giant bejeweled hand sculpture for a solo take on “You and I” that morphs into the album’s title track.

The “Born This Way” performance features the members of SMAP standing and posing behind Gaga, joining her dancers in some high-energy choreography and singing light backup duties on the hit track.

Spokespeople for Gaga and YouTube could not be reached for comment at press time.

On Monday, Gaga tweeted her excitement about the SMAP performance, writing, “My performance+cooking show appearance on SMAP SMAP is airing now in Japan. Kawaii Monsters!” A week earlier, she Twitpic’d a sepia-toned photo of her with the group as well.
